  • Color Wow Youth Juice Review: What Happened When I Actually Tried It for 3 Months

    Nov 12, 2025

By Kaila Shien Datungputi, senior stylist at The Warehouse Salon - DeLand, FL

After more than twenty years behind the chair, I've seen just about every hair growth product hit the shelves. Oils, foams, drops, sprays, you name it. Most of them promise the same thing and deliver about half of it. So when I first heard about Color Wow Youth Juice, I was curious but skeptical.

I decided to actually commit to a full three-month test before recommending it to any of my clients. Here's exactly what happened.

What Is Color Wow Youth Juice?

Youth Juice is a concentrated scalp serum that targets thinning, aging hair at the follicle level. The formula contains amino acids and peptides that are supposed to strengthen existing hair, reduce breakage, and support new growth over time.

It's not a miracle overnight fix. The brand is upfront about that. They say you need at least 90 days of consistent use to see real results. So that's exactly what I did.

Month 1: Getting Into the Routine

I applied Youth Juice directly to my scalp every night after washing and on dry days too. The texture is lightweight, not greasy at all. It didn't weigh my hair down or leave any residue on my pillow, which was a concern.

By the end of the first month, I didn't notice any dramatic changes yet. My hair felt slightly smoother at the root, and I thought I might be seeing less shedding in the shower, but it was hard to say for sure.

Month 2: Things Start to Shift

This is when I started noticing real differences. Less hair in my brush. My hair felt thicker when I ran my fingers through it. And a few of my regular clients at the DeLand salon started commenting that my hair looked fuller.

I also noticed baby hairs sprouting along my hairline, which was exciting. Those little flyaways that usually annoy people? When you're trying to regrow hair, they're the best sign in the world.

    Month 3: The Full Picture

By month three, I was sold. My hair genuinely felt stronger and denser. The thinning area around my temples that had been bothering me for years looked noticeably improved. My ponytail felt thicker. My blowouts had more body.

I started recommending it to clients, and the ones who've stuck with it are seeing similar results. It's not going to regrow a full head of hair if you've experienced significant loss, but for age-related thinning, postpartum shedding, or just wanting denser, healthier-looking hair, it's the real deal.

    What I Paired It With

Youth Juice works best when you're also taking care of your hair with the right supporting products. Here's what I used alongside it:

Who Should Try It (And Who Shouldn't)

    It's great for:

    • Age-related thinning
    • Postpartum shedding
    • Hair that's lost density from color processing or heat damage
    • Anyone who wants thicker, healthier-feeling hair over time

    It won't:

    • Regrow hair from advanced hair loss conditions
    • Work if you don't use it consistently
    • Show results in a week (commit to 90 days minimum)

    The Bottom Line

I've tested a lot of products over my career. Most of them end up in the cabinet and forgotten. Color Wow Youth Juice is one of the few I've kept using and kept recommending. If you're dealing with thinning and you're willing to be patient, it's worth trying.
